About Us

Founder, President

Hey there! I’m Soo Lee, a junior at La Cueva High School and the mind behind the Albuquerque Music Challenge. I’ve always believed that music is more than just tunes and lyrics; it’s a way for us to express ourselves, connect with others, and even find a bit of magic in our everyday lives. That’s why I started this platform.

Growing up in Albuquerque, I saw how music brought people together, creating friendships and memories that last a lifetime. But I also noticed something else—so many talented individuals around us never get the chance to really show what they can do. Whether it’s because they’re shy, don’t have the right opportunities, or simply don’t know where to start, it felt like a lot of potential was just waiting to be discovered.

That’s where the idea for the Albuquerque Music Challenge came from. I wanted to create a space where anyone, regardless of their background or skill level, could share their love for music. A place where it’s not about being the best, but about having fun, learning, and growing together. A community where every high school student in Albuquerque (and hey, why not the whole world someday?) can come to challenge themselves, meet new friends, and celebrate what makes each of us unique.

So, whether you’re into singing in the shower, playing an instrument, writing songs, or just love listening to music, Albuquerque Music Challenge is for you. Let’s make some noise, share our stories, and show everyone what we’re capable of. Together, we can create something amazing.
